Mini trampoline

Mooroopna VIC 3629

A Big W voucher would be ideal so that a mini trampoline could be purchased. Mini trampolines provide vital vestibular and proprioceptive input that helps children with ASD and ADHD regulate their sensory systems, reduce hyperactivity, motor skills and emotional wellbeing.

Recipient story

A young child who has known only trauma and loss now needs urgent support to find safety, stability and care
First Nations Support
GIVIT
Domestic & Family Violence
This young child has experienced profound trauma and loss in his short life. Before birth he was exposed to drugs, violence and instability, and was later relinquished into the care of his grandmother, who became his safe place and constant source of love and stability. Tragically, she has recently passed away, leaving him grieving the only consistent caregiver he has ever known. Living with ADHD and the impacts of early trauma, everyday life can feel overwhelming and he requires significant support to feel safe and manage daily routines. He has now been welcomed into the home of a compassionate family who have stepped forward to care for him and his two siblings. While they have opened their hearts, the sudden arrival of three children who have experienced significant trauma has placed enormous emotional and financial strain on the household. Community support will help provide the stability, care and a sense of safety this vulnerable child urgently needs as he begins to heal.
