Our organisation supports people sleeping rough on the streets in our community. A lot of the people we are finding coming through to us at this hard time are struggling with financial hardship, somewhere to sleep and shower. Toiletries are often a luxury item and many clients aren't able to afford these.
Clients also not having any phone credit is not allowing them to have connection with family friends and services when needed. Optus phone credit will help keep them safe and connected. Many of our clients are still struggling after the impact COVID isolation and restrictions had on the community and the ongoing financial repercussions from this.
