This couple are both pensioners. The husband has a chronic illness and is bedridden, and he is constantly attending the hospital for treatment. The wife also has health issues. Through the ACT Government’s Gas to Electric initiative, they has been approved to replace and upgrade their heating and cooling systems, however the installers/contractors cannot proceed because the house is infested with pests, including possums and rodents. Unless the pests are removed, this family will not be able to have an efficient heating and cooling system installed which will save them valuable money in the long run. They cannot afford pest removal, and we are seeking anyone or any program that can fund it. Once the pest control is completed, the government agency will organise the heating installation.
