I am writing to request assistance on behalf of a 24‑year‑old full‑time carer who is currently raising and supporting her three younger sisters. She has recently taken on full responsibility for creating a safe and stable home environment for them, despite having very limited financial resources.
At present, the household is without a functioning fridge/freezer and dryer. These items are essential for maintaining food safety, reducing food costs, and managing the significant amount of laundry required for a family of four. A fridge/freezer up to 78cm wide would allow her to store affordable groceries in bulk, while a dryer would help her keep up with daily household needs, especially during periods of wet weather.
This young woman is doing everything she can to provide stability, routine, and care for her siblings, but the financial strain is overwhelming. Support with these appliances would make an immediate and meaningful difference to their wellbeing and safety.
