This amazing single mum has worked hard her entire life. After being diagnosed with a form of cancer, she had to take time off for treatment and surgery. Whilst she was navigating that she also experienced violence from her partner, and leaving him has left her feeling very unsafe in her home. She lives in a very rural area in a small town, which makes it hard to feel safe at home without leaving her community and starting from scratch.
She received treatment for the cancer however her health care team are now concerned about other symptoms that are presenting. These symptoms have stopped her from returning to work and require expensive medical tests, tests that are financially unachievable for a single parent receiving Jobseeker. On top of this financial stress, she has been given notice that the wonders of her home are looking to sell, so she is trying to save what little money she can to help find a new rental in the midst of a housing crisis.
