This young mum has a significant trauma history. She has PTSD and ADHD and also navigates life with an intellectual impairment. She has faced a challenging and complicated pregnancy and is currently residing away from home to enable close medical monitoring. With the likelihood of her baby arriving within the next fortnight, she is feeling considerable financial pressure and is unable to purchase many of the essential items required for her newborn. Support with baby supplies and basic necessities would help relieve some of the stress she is experiencing and ensure both mum and baby have the items they need for a safe and healthy start. There is also a strong possibility that baby will require an extended stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) following birth, resulting in mum being separated from her home, community, and informal support networks for a prolonged period. This support would assist the family greatly while navigating difficult circumstances.
