The recipient is an asylum seeker from the LGBTQIA+ community who had to flee their country due to discrimination and persecution on the basis of their sexuality. The recipient is experiencing homelessness and currently residing in crisis accommodation. They are unable to work due to being on a bridging visa and ineligible for government benefits.
