47-year-old Aboriginal woman who has experienced homelessness for approximately 18 months following a family breakdown. During this period, she has faced multiple challenges, including substance use, mental health concerns and incarceration earlier this year. These experiences have contributed to instability in her life and have presented barriers to maintaining safe and secure accommodation.
She has recently been offered stable, long-term housing in Dubbo, providing her with an opportunity to rebuild her life in a safe and supportive environment. She is excited about this new beginning and has expressed a desire to focus on improving her health, developing her independence and working towards a more positive future. Although she does not know anyone and only owns the clothes she took she is determined to make a new start.
