A woman who is rebuilding herr live after experiencing long-term family violence, including emotional, financial, and coercive control. After many years of dependence on herr former partner, the mother made the difficult decision to leave the relationship to ensure her safety and the wellbeing of her children.
Since separating, the family has faced significant financial hardship. The mother has limited income, is not currently eligible for government financial support, and is working to establish independence after spending many years out of the workforce. The family is relying heavily on the support of adult children while managing the costs of private rental accommodation and daily living expenses.
She requires support to access driving lessons as she does not currently have driver's licence. After many years as a homemaker and following family violence, she is now seeking employment and greater independence. Obtaining a driver's licence will improve her access to employment.
