A.C. lives out of home & is 16-years old currently living in youth housing. She is meant to be working 4-days a week but due to recent surgery (2-weeks ago) and the lead up has caused her to take off a lot of time, resulting in exacerbation of physical and mental health. Due to this she has taken a lot of sick leave, which is unpaid as she has not accrued enough, has isolated herself from supports- which is limited anyway.
A.C. is finding it very difficult to live independently and struggling with access to healthy food & would benefit from a voucher to assist with this in the short-term until they recover.
