42-year-old First Nations client is from an Aboriginal community located in a remote area where there are no local shops supplying essential household whitegoods. Access to items such as a refrigerator, washing machine and household furniture are extremely limited due to geographic isolation, transport barriers and financial constraints. The lack of these essential items is significantly impacting my clients daily living conditions and overall wellbeing. Given the remoteness of the community and limited access to services, support from GIVIT would make a substantial difference.
The costs of transporting these items to communities would be extremely difficult for my client to independently source and afford herself.
