73 year old woman sustained a back fracture in 2016 and continues to experience chronic pain. She is currently sleeping on a second-hand mattress that is approximately 26 years old and no longer provides adequate support.
Due to the poor condition of the mattress, she has difficulty sleeping and wakes each day with significant back pain. She requires ongoing pain management, including injections every six months.
As a pensioner, she is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to afford a suitable replacement mattress. This situation is causing distress and negatively impacting her health and overall wellbeing.
A supportive, good-quality mattress would significantly improve her comfort, sleep quality, and ability to manage her chronic pain. Any support that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
