A lovely woman currently on hospice care received that devastating news that a property she owned, where her family has holidayed regularly for over 50 years, that is to be passed down through the generations, was destroyed in the Victorian bushfires. The property consisted of a cottage hand build by her husband, sheds that housed their motorbikes, tractors, trailers, water tanks, mowers and tools, all destroyed. Sadly, she did not hold insurance, so nothing can be replaced. But the challenges faced now are around clean up. With no insurance the labour and associated cost of clean-up falls solely on her adult children and extended family. This is a massive undertaking, and any support that assists with this would be gratefully received.
