Our Women’s Group is seeking three sewing machines so women and Elders can come together to create handmade teddy bears for babies in NICU, sharing care, connection and kindness.
Our Women’s Group is a safe and welcoming space where Aboriginal women and Elders gather to yarn, support one another, and stay connected. With three sewing machines, the group will create handmade teddy bears for babies in NICU, offering comfort to families during a difficult time.
This project brings gentle but meaningful benefits—reducing isolation, strengthening friendships, and creating a sense of purpose. Elders can share their skills and stories, keeping knowledge alive while nurturing younger women. It’s about connection, healing, and giving back with love.
