Recipient story

Family who were granted asylum from Afghanistan, requiring equipment for their newborn baby
GIVIT
This family were granted asylum from Afghanistan 18 months ago. They welcomed a new baby to the family on Boxing Day 2025, which has made them a family of 4. Parents and a 3 year old and now a newborn baby.

The family initially arrived in NSW and were assisted to relocate to WA. They recently found accommodation and employment in a small community where the father is employed on a farm. The limited income from employment and the birth of a newborn has placed the family in financial stress.

The newborn has a small crib, however will soon outgrow the crib and will require a cot as well as other baby equipment including linen, a high chair, bath, etc. The 3 year old has very few toys or equipment to stimulate his development. He is currently being assessed for Autism, however his delay may be due to the lack of play equipment.

Seeking funding to assist the family with purchasing the essential equipment needed for a new born and toddler.
