Service providing access to essential items for young people experiencing mental ill-health
GIVIT
For more than 30 years our service has been dedicated to creating a future with unlimited potential for young people through expert mental health research, treatment and care, and providing a voice for change.
We have a volunteer-run program that provides access to essential items for young people experiencing mental ill-health and their families including non-perishable food, clothing, and hygiene products.
In 2023 we had the following impact:
• Fulfilled 200 individual orders across our network, including Parkville, Werribee, Melton, Sunshine, Footscray, Craigieburn, and Glenroy sites.
• Distributed more than 1,000 items of new clothing, 7 vans’ full of non-perishable food items and 700 hygiene and pamper packs.
Due to high demand, we are running low or empty on many essential items and need your help to continue our work to support the young people in our community.
