We are seeking donations of Kmart, Big W or Best & Less vouchers for a woman who is rebuilding her life after a significant mental health crisis. Following a two-month hospital stay, she returned to find she had been evicted from her boarding house and all of her belongings had been discarded. She has recently moved into supervised supported transitional housing and is working hard to reconnect with her community and regain her independence. Currently, she owns only a few donated clothing items and is using borrowed hospital linen. Her finances are managed through the Public Trustee, and after rent—which includes utilities—there is very little available for essentials such as food, clothing and personal items. Vouchers would allow her to purchase warm winter clothing and basic household essentials, giving her comfort, dignity and the opportunity to choose items that meet her needs.
