A 35-year-old single mother currently experiencing homelessness with her son following the sudden death of his father under traumatic circumstances.
Prior to his passing, she was in the process of securing housing with her son's father, who was the primary financial provider for the family. She had relied on his income to support housing arrangements and future plans. At the same time, she was required to vacate her previous accommodation due to the end of the lease.
Following his death, their circumstances changed dramatically and unexpectedly. Her son and her have been unable to secure stable accommodation and are currently staying with a cousin. They have been sleeping on the lounge, and as a temporary measure, the cousin has offered a space in their garage until alternative housing can be found.
