This young mother has shown remarkable courage in leaving a situation of domestic and family violence to protect herself and her children. With the support of community services, she was able to safely relocate and secure stable housing, giving her family the opportunity to rebuild their lives free from fear and uncertainty. Starting again has been incredibly challenging. Leaving with only limited belongings and financial resources, she has worked hard to create a safe and nurturing home for her children while managing the costs of rent, utilities, food, and other essential expenses. After moving into their new home, she purchased a second-hand fridge with the little money she had available. Unfortunately, the appliance stopped working after only a month, leaving the family without a reliable way to safely store food. Replacing it is beyond her current financial means.Despite these challenges, this family remains focused on building a stable, safe, and positive future.
