This single mother of two young people has recently left a prolonged domestic and family violence relationship and has since been residing within a supported DFV refuge to ensure the safety of herself and her children.

The family has experienced significant trauma as a result of the violence, which has had ongoing emotional and psychological impacts on both young people. Despite these challenges, mum has remained strongly engaged with supports and is working hard to rebuild safety, stability, and routine for her family.

Due to needing to flee the violence quickly, the family were unable to safely retrieve many of their belongings and are now starting again with very limited essential items.

We are seeking support to assist this family in rebuilding their lives and establishing a safe and stable home environment as they transition forward in their healing journey.

How it's helped before

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.
