I’ve been working with this young man for around 12 months. He initially had reservations about entering residential rehab due to being away from his partner and stepson (live seperately), but made the decision to engage and has done extremely well throughout treatment.
He is now preparing to return home. Unfortunately, while he was away, his property was broken into by squatters and most furniture was damaged. He has since spent his weekend leave cleaning and securing the home, which is now safe again.
We are now supporting him to re-establish basic essentials for his return. A new donated mattress has been sourced, but we need assistance with collection from a warehouse in Kingsgrove and delivery to his home in Glebe.
Any help with this would make a meaningful difference to his transition home.
