The client has reported mobility difficulties due to a pre-existing gunshot wound sustained while fleeing the war in Burma. Although the client currently uses a walking stick, they feel that a wheelie walker would provide greater stability and support when mobilising both inside and outside the home.
The client has reported that, due to their newcomer status and language barrier, they are experiencing financial hardship while trying to provide for their family and are unable to purchase a wheelie walker independently.
It is requested that the client be assessed for a wheelie walker and, if appropriate, provided with one to promote safety, independence, and ongoing engagement in everyday activities.
