Homelessness
14 months ago, this father of three young boys was running a successful business and providing for his family. Everything changed when he was the victim of a violent crime. He spent 6 days in a coma and continues to face significant physical and mental health challenges, leaving him unable to return to work.
Fearing for their safety, the family moved from their home. Without his income, they fell behind in rent and bills and are now experiencing homelessness, currently living in a budget motel while searching for a rental close to their children's school.
With most of the family's income going towards temporary accommodation, there is very little left for food, toiletries and other everyday essentials.
Support for groceries would help ease the financial pressure on this family during a very challenging time. It would allow them to focus on finding stable housing, keeping their children connected to school and rebuilding their lives after a traumatic event.
