My client experienced a brain injury when she was a young girl, as she was hit by a truck and did not get a lot of support growing up to manage her brain injury. Today my client sees the effect of her brain injury in her memory issues, impulsive behaviours and poor life choices. My client is a survivor of domestic and family violence, which she is still trying to heal and recover from. My client is tired and exhausted, as she emotionally tries to be there to support her elderly parents and grown children and grandchildren, who all live away from her, so she needs to travel a lot. My client is on a disability pension and is struggling to keep her car on the road, which she needs to visit her parents. My client never complains, as she believes that family should be there for each other.
