Pregnant DV survivor left with one bag, has no housing, and is rebuilding her life while preparing for her baby.
Domestic & Family Violence
Other hardship(s)
30 yo expectant mother has shown incredible courage in leaving a DV relationship to protect herself & her unborn baby. With only one bag & no personal belongings, she walked away from everything she knew to seek safety & a fresh start. Despite engaging with specialist DV services, obtaining a DVO, & actively exploring housing options, she has been unable to secure crisis accommodation & is currently relying on her sister for a place to stay. She is surviving on Centrelink payments, which are stretched thin covering basic living expenses while she prepares for the arrival of her baby. She relies on public transport to attend appointments, access support services, & work towards rebuilding her future. Despite the uncertainty & challenges she faces, she remains determined, resilient, & focused on creating a safe and stable life for herself & her child. Any assistance offered to help her establish security & independence during this critical time would make a meaningful difference.
