After leaving an unsafe home due to domestic and family violence, this young person spent months couch surfing, facing constant uncertainty about where she would sleep. Despite this, she continued attending school every day, determined to finish Year 12 and build a better future.
She has now secured transitional housing, offering a sense of stability for the first time in a long while. While this is a huge step forward, her new space is empty and lacks the basic comforts needed to feel safe, settled and able to focus on her studies.
Creating a comfortable environment is essential for her wellbeing and education. Having a place where she can rest, study and feel secure will make a meaningful difference as she works toward becoming the first in her family to complete school.
Her journey shows resilience and determination, but she still needs support to fully rebuild and move forward with confidence.
