She is an Aboriginal woman who has experienced significant trauma throughout her life, including the recent
tragic loss of her daughter to suicide. This devastating event has had a profound impact on her emotional
wellbeing and daily functioning.
She is a vulnerable person who is at risk of financial abuse and exploitation due to her circumstances and limited
supports.
As a result of the financial burden associated with arranging and paying for her daughter’s funeral, She has been
unable to replace her refrigerator after it stopped working. Currently, she is relying on an esky with ice in an attempt
to keep her food cold and hygienic. This is not a sustainable or safe long-term solution and places her at risk of food
spoilage and associated health concerns.
Support to assist her in obtaining a replacement fridge would greatly improve her health, wellbeing, and ability to
safely maintain food within her home during this extremely difficult time.
