Two refugee sisters, S and K, who arrived in Australia in June of 2025, under the 202 humanitarian visa programs. As they begin to rebuild their lives, they face challenges in meeting basic household needs due to their limited Centrelink income.
The sisters are unable to afford a washing machine, which has made it difficult for them to manage everyday tasks. Having spent several years in a Thai refugee camp before arriving in Australia, they are still adjusting to their new environment and independent living. Their current financial situation makes it impossible for them to purchase essential appliances like a washing machine, and they are in need of this support to ease their daily burdens and financial expenses.
A donated washing machine would significantly improve their daily life, reduce their financial strain and enable them to better manage household tasks.
