Base and mattress - queen

Single mum of 4 young children aged between 2 and 15 years and arrived in Australia from New Zealand in the hope of providing a better life for their children in September 2023. The father of the children left the family in May 2024 which has left the family in added state of stress and uncertainty. She and her 4 children are sleeping on a mattress on the floor in one room at her friend’s place since March 2024. There are significant concerns of overcrowding, economic hardship, lack of from the father and isolation. She and the children are struggling to cope and there have been reports of mental health concerns due to the stress of overcrowding and housing instability.

She is trying her best to cope, ensuring that her first three children are attending school regularly and is full time carer for her 2-year-old. The family is moving to a transitional property and is in desperate need of white goods, mattresses and other items to settle into their new home.
