As a young Aboriginal woman, she faces several challenges that are further compounded by the current lack of essential household items. Due to her age, she is not yet able to work or access independent income, which limits her capacity to contribute financially to the home. The household relies heavily on shared resources, and with six children in the home, a fridge is essential for safe food storage, preserving fresh produce, and maintaining a consistent, healthy diet.
The absence of a fridge places additional strain on the family’s daily living and wellbeing. Supporting this request would greatly enhance the quality of life for YP and her siblings, and help to ease some of the pressures already present in the home.
