2026 QLD Monsoon Floods
Monsoon rains across QLD have led to significant flooding in central Queensland. Hundreds of people were evacuated from their homes ahead of the river peak. Others were isolated in their homes as roads and bridges were flooded. With water levels slowly starting to recede, in the coming days people will be able to return to their homes to see what damage has been caused.
The clean up will be long and difficult with flood mud needing to be cleaned from anything that is salvageable.
With electricity being turned off, families have lost the entire contents of their fridges and freezers and will need to replace it all.
Any donations, big or small make a real difference to people struggling to afford the basics and now facing a disaster recovery.
