An elder with a long history of drug addiction left his hometown 20 years ago after his mother’s death and has never returned. He has lived a largely transient lifestyle and experienced periods of drug use but is now seeking stability and a fresh start.
My tenant has taken significant steps to protect his wellbeing by distancing himself from family members who were causing ongoing disruption in his life. While rebuilding stability, his secondhand fridge/freezer stopped working, leaving him reliant on fast food and pantry items. He now requires funding for a new fridge to support his daily living and wellbeing.
