A single mother with five children, who has a history of homelessness and domestic and family violence (DFV), is experiencing significant hardship during the Christmas period. The family has been impacted by unexpected expenses, creating financial strain at an already challenging time.

The mother is not currently engaged in employment due to her full‑time caregiving responsibilities for her young children, further limiting the household’s income and capacity to meet essential needs.

Our partner charity has requested this donation for someone they support who is doing it tough.

How it's helped before

I am writing to personally thank 'GIVIT' for a generous 'Simply Groceries eGift card' voucher that I was gifted, with $100 worth of essential spending money for my family & I to utilise at our own discretion. I can happily report this donation has assisted the purchase of a basic, solo, wifi security camera, with the excess going toward food for my teenage daughter who is currently taken on responsibilities around our home while I recover in a rehabilitation centre. Thank you for this kind gesture, as it has helped to improve security measures around our home & support my daughter to purchase daily essential items such as groceries, basic hygiene & cleaning products.
