The client is a 47-year-old Aboriginal had been sleeping rough for approximately four years, primarily residing in tents within the local community. His homelessness is linked to a history of domestic and family violence (DFV), family breakdown, and ongoing mental health challenges, which have significantly impacted his stability and ability to maintain housing.
The client has recently been supported by local services to access temporary accommodation, which he is working towards stability. Fortunately due to his ongoing support from local service providers client was finally housed into permanent safe housing,
The client is currently in process of applying for DSP due to his disability. Although assisted with a bed and fridge and a few household items client is needing more assistance with some other household necessities.
