With the rising cost of living placing increasing pressure on families, our centre is launching a free community group designed to support and connect local families in a practical and meaningful way.
We will be hosting a fortnightly cooking group where families can come together to prepare low-cost, healthy meals in a welcoming and supportive environment. All ingredients will be provided free of charge, ensuring that everyone can participate regardless of financial circumstances. This initiative aims not only to ease food stress but also to build skills, confidence, and community connections.
To make this program possible, we are seeking donations of essential cooking equipment.
These items will allow us to safely and effectively run group cooking sessions and support families in learning how to prepare affordable, nutritious meals.
This space will be hosted by social workers.
