Flood-affected woman living with complex PTSD, autism, chronic pain and severe, persistent depression. The flood significantly worsened her existing conditions, resulting in a substantial decline in her ability to manage daily life. She is often bedbound due to severe pain and poor mental health, making it difficult to maintain her home and complete essential household tasks.
She is also experiencing significant financial hardship following the floods and lost essential household appliances and items needed for daily living. Without the financial means to replace these items, her ability to live independently and safely has been further impacted.
The condition of her home and lack of essential household items are compounding her wellbeing and creating barriers to recovery.
She was previously declined access to the NDIS and is currently reapplying with support. Assistance is needed to improve her living environment, replace essential items, and support her recovery and independence.
