Our client has been living with cancer for 5 years, including relapse, which has reduced her ability to work and to continue to gain an income. Her mental health has deteriorated significantly while she navigates health and legal processes and faces changes in her life.
In addition to these workplace and mental health issues, she has been the victim of a serious DV incident placing her at physical and psychological risk. Not having worked for a period of time, and now facing additional financial costs, she has been unable to maintain paying for the psychology appointments that have been so important and useful for her. Being able to continue sessions with the same psychologist is trauma-informed and would reduce the risk of additional psychological injury. Assistance at this vulnerable in her life would make the world of difference!
