2025 NSW Mid North Coast & Hunter Floods
Domestic & Family Violence
This mother of two young boys was impacted by the 2025 Mid North Coast floods while navigating significant personal challenges, including leaving a domestic violence situation. Experiencing a disaster during an already difficult time has added further pressure as she works towards creating a safe and stable future for herself and her children.
She continues to navigate complex court processes while also managing health concerns for one of her sons. These ongoing challenges can make recovery difficult, particularly when so much energy is needed to support her children and address their changing needs.
Her journey highlights how the impacts of a disaster can extend far beyond the initial event, especially for families already experiencing significant life changes. A compassionate, understanding and supportive approach can help ease some of the pressures she faces as she continues to navigate recovery and work towards greater stability for her family.
