The stepfather is the carer for the mother and has unaddressed health issues himself. Centrelink payments are not sufficiently managed, and NDIS funding has not been approved yet. The family has previously had negative experiences when engaging with support services but willing to try again and slowly building trust.
The family currently have no funds available to purchase the items their child needs to start the school year.
