We are supporting a single mother of three daughters who have recently relocated to Perth. Her oldest daughter - 10 years old has had a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD. Occupational Therapists have recommended mum to set up a 'sensory corner' for her daughter to utilise at home to promote safety, exploration and play and decrease sensory overload. As a single mum in this economy it is hard to find the finances for anything other than that absolute necessities. We are hoping to help this mum set up a safe, quiet sensory corner for her daughter and to support her in further supporting her daughters acute needs and strengthening her social and emotional wellbeing. We are hoping to get a bean bag, a nice rug, sensory toys (fidgets etc), basket to keep the items in, weighted blanket, weighted teddies etc.
