Help set up forever home for family experiencing homelessness following escaping Family Domestic Violence
GIVIT
The family, a mother and her 3 children age 6-11, were forced to flee their home in July 2025 due to Family Domestic Violence. The family have been allocated a Department of Housing House after years of waiting. Due to having to flee with no possessions, they are re-starting with nothing in their new home. The family need support to build a safe, stable and comfortable environment where they can thrive.
The family were unable to return to their home, due to the perpetrators of FDV squatting illegally in the property. The family were forced to relocate and unable to take any of their belongings with them. The family have been forced to go between sleeping in their car and couch surf in unsafe and overcrowded situations. The family have experienced ongoing FDV in the accommodation where they have been couch surfing. Causing ongoing trauma and preventing the family from recovering.
