Recipient story

Gardening maintenance tools are required to support the ongoing sustainment of a young couple’s tenancy
Other hardship(s)
First Nations Support
I am supporting a young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander couple in their early 20s with two children aged six and two. This is their first home. During a recent housing inspection, it was identified that the small courtyard/grass area requires ongoing maintenance to ensure compliance with tenancy requirements and to avoid any breach notices.

The outdoor space is also important for the children to safely play, while providing the parents with time to complete daily household tasks and prepare for upcoming inspections.

We are seeking a donation of a whipper snipper to assist the family in maintaining their yard independently, supporting them to meet tenancy expectations and sustain their long-term housing stability.
