2026 Victoria Bushfires
This quite elderly widow was impacted by the 2026 Bushfires due to experiencing a medical episode as the fires swirled towards their very old farmhouse. They experienced a medical episode requiring hospitalisation and they felt fear realising that this was very much a life or death situation for them.. Their livelihood was impacted by the fires as stock were disposed of and grassland burned. Nearby trees were burned and forest plantations devastated. This person now reluctantly heats their home with a log fire however are fearful that gathering wood and bending to set the fire will initiate a similar medical episode as their condition caused them to suddenly fall backwards hitting their head on the morning of the 2026 Bushfires. They also revisit prior trauma due to another family member almost losing their life during a similar natural disaster some years previously. Your support to prevent further impact will so some way to assure this elderly person of safety living in their home.
