Homeless Mum with 2 x disabled children requires car brakes repaired to continue accessing supports

A Mum and her 2 x disabled children, including a little girl who is 4 years old, nonverbal with Autism Level 3 have recently become homeless. This has been an extremely stressful time for the family and especially unsettling for the little girl moving around motel rooms in emergency accommodation where she cannot go outside to play etc. The family have a history of experiencing domestic violence, so they have been subjected to a huge amount of emotional stress and spending every day in survival mode. The family have now been placed in warm safe transitional housing which has provided some immediate relief, and they will continue to be supported by services to find stable housing. Mum is trying hard and doing the best she can. The current urgent issue is their car requires new brakes - this is unsafe to drive and urgently required to continue providing transport to access school, preschool and support programs. A quote has been obtained for repair at a local mechanic for this repair.
