Over the past six months, this single mother and her two young children, aged 8 and 10, have endured an incredibly challenging period marked by the sudden loss of their home due to circumstances beyond their control. The experience of homelessness deeply impacted the children’s sense of safety and continuity, disrupting their schooling, routines, and connection to extended family supports. Forced to leave their previous home with very few belongings, Mum faced the overwhelming task of starting again while carrying significant physical and mental health challenges. Despite this, she showed remarkable strength and determination—maintaining her employment, securing stable housing, and slowly rebuilding a safe and nurturing home for her children. The family is now working to restore stability and normalcy after a prolonged period of uncertainty, with Mum doing everything she can to ensure her children have the security, consistency, and care they need to heal and thrive.
