We are reaching out on behalf of a young community member who has recently endured significant loss during the 2025 Mid North Coast floods. Living independently in his family’s granny flat, he lost everything that made his space a home. Because his accommodation was part of a family property, he is not eligible for formal assistance, leaving him to rebuild with almost no resources.
This young man is known for his strength, resilience, and quiet determination. He has faced more than his share of hardship, yet he remains someone who never complains and would never ask for help himself. At present, he has only a second-hand mattress and is working with limited means to restore the essentials he once had.
