Adult male returned to protect the home in case of fire. 2 adults and 1 child relocated to motel out of fire threat. Power lost, unable to claim payment from Ausnet as they deemed power was not lost for long enough period. Fluctuations in power affected water pump and washing machine - no longer working properly. Adult male was unable to leave home following returning to protect property (due to travel restrictions) to get groceries and fuel to power the generator. He has had to use most of his money to pay for diesel to run the generator. This has impacted his financial situation as he is on Disability pension and is struggling to recover enough to re stock groceries.
