This request is for a young girl who is experiencing significant learning difficulties due to dyslexia and requires additional educational and therapeutic support to assist with her development and wellbeing.
Funding is being sought to cover the cost of a speech therapy invoice, enabling her to access timely and appropriate allied health intervention. At present, these services are not accessible through other available avenues, creating a barrier to the support she urgently needs.
Speech therapy will play a critical role in improving her communication skills, confidence, and engagement in learning. It will also support her emotional recovery, as she has experienced bullying, which has contributed to feelings of shame and reduced self-esteem.
Additionally, this support forms part of her broader healing journey from domestic and family violence (DFV). Access to consistent, specialised therapeutic care will help her rebuild confidence, strengthen her sense of safety.
