Single mother of 4 young children, experienced domestic violence in previous relationships with father of older children. Recent partner abonded her just prior to giving birth to his child. Mums mental health has declined due to stressors of sole parenting with no supports and 2 young children with complex needs. Mum has always been on top of her budget, though moving house due to FDV has had a significant impact on her financially. Previous house was small 2 bedroom, where all were sleeping in 1 room, and Mum is now trying to furnish a 4 bedroom home, creating a fresh start for her and her children. Mum is starting reunification with her eldest child, and needing to furnish her room appropriately. Due to cost of mediation and costs associated with attending court Mum is finding it difficult to make ends meet financially, even though she has alays been budget conscious. 2 younger children going through diagnosis of ASD where there is several appointments to travel to across the city.
