Our service is supporting an Aboriginal mother of two children aged 7 and 5. She is a survivor of complex trauma - including institutional abuse and domestic violence. She will be completing rehab and needs a bed base and mattress for her new accommodation. She lost her home and has no furniture and is starting from scratch. Our service wants to ensure that she has a bed to stay in her temp accommodation and can then take this to her new home once she has found her new home. She is on high priority for housing to be reinstated and reestablishing herself in the community.
If she has a safe place to sleep this will greatly benefit her recovery and ongoing wellbeing and working towards her goals.
